As the Global Esports Director, you will be instrumental in driving all of Razer’s Esports efforts around the world, while leading a passionate, high-performing team. Through close partnerships with our professional teams, Team Razer, and other partners and Esports organizations, we support and organize some of the largest and most inclusive programs around the world. This also includes the use of our Razer products by athletes, that enables them to perform at their peak in esports tournaments, and most importantly drive engagement and inspiration to our users and all esports audiences, gamers and communities through our marketing activities.

  • Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, lead a diverse, high-performing team of global and regional esports marketers. Guide and coach them as a mentor in the industry and help them achieve global and regional esports and marketing goals.
  • Drive esports marketing programs and campaigns which include global branding, product marketing, digital, social marketing, partnerships and PR efforts.
  • Strategize and oversee esports professional team sponsorships (Team Razer), and partner closely with them to activate key moments, products and initiatives.
  • Conceptualize and execute global and regional esport tournament initiatives, with relevant partners and key stakeholders.
  • As part of overall global marketing efforts, be accountable for marketing key performance indicators, impressions, engagement, viewership and relevant sales targets.
  • Regularly review data analysis on esports marketing metrics in the region. Keep up to date with market trends and initiatives to ensure our esports initiatives and marketing campaigns are relevant and competitive.
  • Accountable on all esports marketing budget planning and spend, ensuring maximum return on investment and impact to the relevant business units.
  • Be the face of Razer Global Esports, participate in panels, conduct interviews, attend conferences, and be a thought leader in the esports industry and ecosystem.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders in the esports ecosystem to drive Razer leadership and values globally.

Pre-Requisites

  • You are a meticulous and structured marketer, with minimum 10 years of global or at least regional consumer tech marketing experience, understand consumer journey through marketing touch points, and strong acumen through data-driven marketing.
  • Healthy curiosity about the gaming ecosystem, with an unstoppable passion about the gaming industry. Being a pro or casual gamer is a plus.
  • A clear understanding of the pro-gaming esports ecosystem, key players, driving factors, gaps and opportunities. Prior experience in the Esports industry is a huge plus.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written in English is a must, and additional languages are a plus. Proven ability in public communications across public relations, social media and events.
  • Able to work in highly complex situations and matrix organizations to drive effective results.
  • Clear mastery of global P&L processes, revenue attainment and budget management.
  • Project and people management skills should be very strong and well demonstrated.
  • Embrace and take advantage in high performance working environment, empowering your team with creativity and ownership to drive results.
  • Willingness and excitement to network and travel, to meet the esports community and stakeholders around the world of gaming, and build persistent relationships with athletes and partners.
  • In lieu of direct marketing academic and/or professional experience, must be a natural marketer, curious, creative, passionate, audience focused and ultimately accountable.
