The Japan Country Manager is on the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our industry-leading products and shaping Razers leadership in the Japanese market. This position is a first of its kind for Razer in Japan and is a key component of our major investment and commitment to the Japanese market. The position will be located in or within routine travel distance of Tokyo.
Provide leadership of all Razer business activities in the Japanese Market consistent with Razers culture, values and brand promise.
Develop, operate, train and drive continuous improvement in Razers channels. Manage partnerships with Razers distributors, retailers and business partners to establish and maintain a competitive advantage and a focus on Razers brand, market share and consumer experience. Create new channels and partnerships as needed to support new Razer initiatives and new categories.
Lead marketing tactics and demand generation actions in Japan supporting local and global marketing campaigns. Aid regional, global and business marketing leaders by communicating the nuances, effectiveness and dynamics of Japanese marketing and advertising options.
Create shared monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year business plans and lead the execution to meet revenue, inventory turns, budget, market share and profitability objectives.
Develop a high performing team. Provide passionate, visionary leadership, accountability and commitment to objectives with your team, distribution partners and vendors.
Provide supervision and local management for non-direct report Razer employees located in Japan.
Maintain a comprehensive awareness and continuous intelligence of economic forces, industry and competitive dynamics, consumer trends, relevant contacts and potential partnerships. Integrate this intelligence into plans and communicate to relevant stakeholders in the company.
Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting of sales, forecasts, sell-through, market share, industry and competitive actions.
Plan and execute impactful product launches in the channel as well as efficient end of life and rollover transitions.
Mastermind and implement promotion plans and strategies with the channel, based on sales and market data analysis to meet sales and market share objectives.
Forecast sales and expense requirements accurately to ensure adequate supply, channel inventory and budgets.
Maintain industry, government and media connections to assist in the development of Razers Japanese business.
Minimum 12 years of sales and marketing experience in consumer electronics, consumer information technology, gaming or mobile industry.
Earned consistent accolades from channel buyers for proactiveness, business approach, thought leadership, collaborative style and growth.
An established record of meeting or exceeding goals, establishing deep and valuable channel relationships and representing the brand positively.
Excellent analytical skills with loads of examples of great decisions and process of management impacts.
Exceptional communication, persuasion and presentation skills.
Experience as business spokesperson with the business and industry press.
